The 1:12 scale Ferrari F50 Progress Thread
hi guys.
well, my acu-stion 1:12 f50 photoetch sheet arrived today, so i got started. it adds a ton of detail to the semi-assembled diecast body Tamiya 1:12 F50. i mainly bought the sheet because i was very, very disappointed with the stock brakes, especially considering the model's price of $300 usd, but i plan on using everything included on this sheet. The modding has begun! Painted the stock rotors flat black so that you could see the holes better. Had to break the handbrake caliper and then glue it back together after I got the rotor on. I didn't glue the rotors on, they are a tight fit anyway. I'm going to polish them more, they aren't even close to my mirror-like 1:8 F40 rotor, but you get the idea. totally stock brakes: version 1.0: version 2.0:

Nice photo-etched stuff. Man, I've got to get ahold of one of these kits for my Enzo.

Original pedals.
Originals were painted black, these were polished. Probably the hardest thing I've ever done involving model cars, took me at least 20 attempts to attach the acceleration pedal. Hard to get a good pic of them...
