1/24 Porsche 917K Fujimi 1971 LM Winner

Hello,

I just finished this one.

To improve the kit, I use Studio 27 PE SET + 3MD Decal, once the decal provided with the kit presented wrong colors for Martini Stripes, some pieces of PE SET of 3MD, provided with decal set, were used. The cooling shroud and cooling fan was made with amber PU resin, to improve the representation of FRP translucent and color.

T2m Bolt & washers were used to replace the ones that come injected on the rear gurney flaps.

To paint the body, automotive paint and clear coat from PPG were used.

All other parts were painted with Tamiya, Mr. Hobby (gunze), Testors, Alclad and Mirra Chrome paints.

Thanks for see!

Best Regards.

Carlos Malfitani.

Amazing! In the next year I will try to go to the Goodwood Festival of Speed to see several racing cars that made the motorsport history and became me a big fan of the motorsport and this incredible hobby!

Hello Denilson!

Thank you for your comment! It is very important and makes me motivated to start another project.

In my opinion you are one of the bet Brazilian modelers, and have the preference of same themes that I have!

Thanks for your visit!

Very, very, very nice. I hope I can do as much justice to 917s and the Martini livery when I finally get around to that part of my project.

Thank you for the photos and inspiration.

Cheers,
Anthony

Cookster, in despite that I was very satisfacted with this Fujimi 917K assembly, I recommend you to build the Model Factory Hiro Version of this kit, so then you can do full of justice to 917s and the Martini livery!

Best Regards!

Carlos Malfitani.

Re: 1/24 Porsche 917K Fujimi 1971 LM Winner

Thanks Carlos,

Given that I will likely be doing quite a number of 917s, I will at least do one MFH 917 kit for a full detail model and perhaps some other brands for other versions which don't necessarily need everything to open and shut (I also have to think about the hip pocket...). Mind you it might be a little while before I get to the 917s...I've got to get through a couple of 910s and 906s, amongst others, first...

Thanks again for the inspiration and hopefully will be posting WIPs soon as I get stuck into the project.

Cheers,
Anthony
