GTR #01R in the McLaren 50 Parade for the MP4-28 reveal

This morning in Woking McLaren unveiled their 2013 Formula One car to the world press and other guests. In the lead up to that moment and as a bit of a formal kick off to the McLaren 50 events they will participate in this year they drove some of their iconic pieces of motorsport history around the lake and onto the Boulevard at the MTC for everyone to see and hear. Included in the lineup of cars were things like the M8D CanAm, the M20, the MP4-4 and my personal favorite, GTR #01R.

Shortly thereafter they introduced their drivers, Sergio Perez and Jenson Button who arrived in a 12C Spider and one of the P1 test mules!

I snagged some screenshots from the live footage but will go back for a few more once they have processed and uploaded the video from the event. In all the excitement from thousands of miles away I missed the best ones as the GTR and the P1 cruised past the camera on the edge of the lake. It currently says it is 'Private' so I hope they get that squared away soon.

I was at home watching it live over net,its nice to see some of the iconic cars been driven around the lake. Before they unveiled the car live i was watch interview and they are in talk with Goodwood FOS to have some cars there.

Today I felt proud to be a McLaren Fan. How they presented the new car, with all heroes from the past....adding also the P1...simply stunning. let's hope for a huge epic year

Oh my what a superb evening. I really didn't had any clue how this day would end. I just can not tell the feelings to see #01R be driven again. Very touching moment, just can't help it. Even I haven't seen the car ever my self on live. That would be one of the bigest dreams to see this car with my own eyes.! HOpelly someday.....!

Two historic racecars there, Le Mans winner mostly done by JJ Lehto's out standing drive in La Sharte's night and Mika Hakkinen's 1998 World Championship winner.

I think I need a drink, good old Famous Grouse would to the job today. I think I will enjoy it and watch that 3.00 part of the clip...again.!

Great to see 01r driven round the lake. Could this year top last year for us all on the forum ? Surely there must be a big gathering of Mclaren F1 / GTR for us to see!
The P1 looked better than i thought in the flesh also
