[911 Tribute] 1/24 Porsche 934 Lemans 1976 Team A.S.A. Cachia

Hello,

here's my entry to the 911 tribute,
it's the porsche 934RSR from team "A.S.A. Cachia", from LeMans 1976.
The car didn't make it to the finish.

The drivers were Jean-Claude Andruet (F)/Jacques Borras (F)/Henri Cachia (F).

Why would I make this car? Of course because I like the 934 Porsches as much as the 935, and because of it's special paint scheme.

Base kit is the Heller/ESCI Porsche 934RSR, with some modifications as the new roof strip, correction on the front windscreen, and drilling hole's on the fenders.

I've thougth a lot about how to make this lovely livery on the car, and since a year I'm working with CorelDraw, thanks to my rally-colleges who got me into this.

So here some pictures from the start, and with the decals printed on paper as a testfit.

Next thing is to spray the body, first primer, white primer and one coat of white since there are some area's that need to stay white.

Then masking so I can spray the red on the front and the roof.
There's also a red area on the rear hood, with a little overspray so it looks like the red is going over to the white.

After letting dry the red paint I masked everything so I could paint the blue all over the car.

After that the result is shown in the pictures.

Waow, what a nice entry to the Tribute with this french LM team car !!
excellent work on the paint, will follow this closely as I'm also modifying a ESCI 934 to improve it and make it more accurate to the 78 MC rally winner.

Time for the decals.

The white part from the decals is printed with JaWi, and applied to the car. The colordecals are printed on my own printer, and applied over the white decals.

At this moment the body is clearcoated.
Next step will be the interior and painting the window surrounds.

First I was afraid from the livery, but I had to try it.

I'm satisfied about the decals although they could better.
Maybe when I'm more experienced with CorelDraw.

Painted the window surrounds and rubber components from the body today with tamiya Rubber Black.

This livery is one of the nicest ever.

that 934 kit looks not so bad at all. basicallt what is missing is so the rain line around the roof and clean some details.

the base looks quite convincing and also I noted in all your models wheels are decent too.

I have just bought the third heller/esci one, also I want to make some of theme. the bodyshape looks really convincing in the first pics (plastic color)

Hello,

time to attack the interior.

All pretty standard the Heller interior, added some little wiring ( 2 ) and spayed the seat, steering wheel and dash with Tenco spray to give it a little structure. Also added photo-etch for the seat belts.
The seat belts are made of papertape which is painted flat red.

I didn't add the front suspension, but an axle and fitted the wheels from
Scale production.


I also painted the underside from the car, probably not correct to paint it body color, I think it should be black.
Also painted some detail to the engine, and some smoke to give it a realistic look.
