2000 7.5a alternator fuse blowing

I had my car die slowly on me the other day like it was the alternator so I ventured under the hood to try and figure out what was going on. I read on here about the 175amp fuse that is between the alternator and the starter, I replaced that today just to be safe. I felt dumb because after everything I realized that wire went straight to the pos terminal on the battery. I know there are 3 other wires I believe that should run to the fusebox, would it be those that are shorting out the fuses? I'm not quite sure what to look for to be honest, I've gotten good at working on my dirtbike but not this car lol.

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks,
Brent
