Question Honda integra 88'

Hey...I'm new to this and just wanted to know if anyone could help me. I am interested in buying an integra. I am after the 88 model because i love the pop up lights and I have test driven one and am really happy with it. But the thing is finding one with low k's on it..(I am from Australia, Victoria by the way) is difficult. A mechanic told me that once they hit 170000 look out. As honda's are more expensive to fix I am worried that if i get one with around 130000 k's that it wont be worth my while..

If anyone has any experience with this model and year i would appreciate any input you may have! thanks heaps
