doubt: V-Spec, M-Spec, etc...

Hi, all.

I frequently go about the labels V-Spec, R-Spec e M-Spec associated with japanese cars (especially Skylines, but also some others such as the S2000, Accord, etc...)

I end up getting the feeling that I'm the only one who doesn't know what this means...

I believe it has to do with the level of tuning and equipment, and I read something on the net that kind of confirms this:
"This particular 1999 Skyline GT-R is also a V-Spec, meaning it sports carbon fiber front and rear under-body diffusers and stiffer suspension."

I hope Hiroboy doesn't mind using a couple of pictures from hist site (which most of you should know)...

Anyone knows what are the "rules" that define each version?

I know that the M-Spec model has a few more luxury amenities added.

The N1 model is a lighter version intended for racing.

mspec, v spec, etc
just different names given to same car but different features
it depends on the manufacturer
e.g V-spec - marking for skyline 'victory' spec car with better brakes, suspension etc.

Then in the bottom left corner click the button that reads "about GTR".

This will give you all the specs. Basically bigger brakes and tires for the other versions. Some suspension tuning and ECU tweaks are also made on some models.

So from what I understood, the differences are not really visible from the outside (e.g. in a scale model).
