Changing Battery Cables?
I was opting for a better gauge of Battery Cable. Mine are from like 13 years ago, and seem to be deteriorating down to the wire. How hard is it to do yourself? If not by myself, then how much would it generally run you for?

If you use Honda or replacement cables it will be simple. When you make your own, crimping connections & so on, its slightly more difficult but still simple IMO.
1. Disconnect negative battery terminal 2. Disconnect positive battery terminal 3 Remove bolts holding negative cable & disconnect from tranny 4. Install new cable as old one was removed 5. Disconnect the positive cable from the starter & main fuse box 6. Install new cable as old one was removed Also a good idea to replace engine to frame ground strap - Taylor makes a sweet braided strap - keep in mind it is a ground strap & not a batter cable by any means. A shop would charge 0.5hrs of labor + parts/tax to replace cables. |
