2000 Trooper Check Engine Light
Just bought the Trooper about a week ago (Oct. 1), and the check engine light started blinking today on my way home. It goes out if I'm coasting, but blinks continuously when I accelerate. I'm freaking out just a little since this is a new car to me - I really love it and don't want to have to spend loads of money to fix whatever's wrong. Does this sound like something major?

Re: 2000 Trooper Check Engine Light
Blinking CEL is usally a misfire.
But with out the code we won't be able to help. Auto Zone will read the codes for free.

Yep, blinking CEL = misifre. Most common cause is running non-denso spark plugs in the 2000+. You have to run denso spark plugs.
