What do you think of this custom?
Hey, guys it's taken me 5 years to build this beast. What do you think?
http://firstgenfirebird.org/show/closeup.mv?CarID=642 Above is a link my my car. It's a custom 69 Firebird coupe with 2-tone paint and lots of suspension and drivetrain upgrades. Click on the link above for details and let me know what you think! |

Re: What do you think of this custom?
It's come to my attention that some may confuse me with another user going by the name Coronado Gold....well we are 2 different people and I am only providing links to my own car.
It has taken me over 5 years to get it to the point it's at. I've learned a LOT about fabrication, suspension, drivetrain, brakes, body, paint, and interior through the process so I look forward to being a useful resource in the near future. |

Pas mal de tout!
Well, other that the wheels in the 1st photo, they need to go -- they'd make great volleyball pole stands. I like the scoop, it somehow tones down the "beakiness" of the front end.

Re: What do you think of this custom?
Thanks! I agree. What wheels do you think would go well with the paint scheme?

sometimes less is more. If you're not sure about adding something try having someone add it in Photoshop first. you can see if you like it or not. then you will save yourself the work and expense if you don't.
there's another rule in the design industry: "k.i.s.s." (keep it simple, stupid) meaning to not go overboard with extras and make it tacky. I think it has plenty already. you've already got a busy paint job with the 2 tone and the pinstripe. plus, you have different mirrors, painted window trim, a chevy style hood scoop with a trans am style spoiler. 5 years is a long time. drive it and enjoy it! don't worry about what else you can add to it. |

Re: What do you think of this custom?
very tastefully done! the color combo is great. the wheels are ok but wouldnt have been my personal choice. although im not much for suggestions...ive always been a sucker for crager s/s rims but i dont think that would work on a moder street rod. im sure boyds has something or foose designs that would work if your looking to change them. otherwise the car is really nice.

Lookin' real nice is that pic the current state or is that from back in '05 when you made the post?
I'd be fun to see where you started from (any pics?) - I'm sure you've come a long way since then.
