New to kits

I just found out about kit cars and really like the lambos. I don't have alot of cash, so would the best option be to get a fiero donor? Then stretch the chassis.

Is there anything else I need to do to the chassis?

Also, I am really new and have been looking around online for a good guide, but can't find one.

I am confused about the motor. I would like to buy a really cheap fiero and just use the chassis. But then, how do I get a good motor and transmission that will fit into the fiero. Do all motors fit?? Don't laugh

Thanks!
