We need details. Please tell use which paints you used. What parts were decals and what parts you hand painted. If still possible a tutorial is a must and also some flames close up pics.

B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L! Best custom job I've ever seen on a bike, and I like the detailing of the calipers. You really have an eye for total paint schemes. Keep up the great work!

Thank you all very much. Here's some more info:
The orange is Tamiya TS Brilliant (Repsol) Orange from the can. Everything was painted orange first over white primer. The purple is actually Tamiya TS Black decanted and airbrushed, (Paasche VL). I used templates (kit supplied) and painted the black following the 1999 scheme (mostly). Then I applied custom designed decals that I made, but it wasn't exaclty what I wanted, so I went back and hand painted what flames I needed to so it would look sharp with a #0 sable brush. Purple pearl was mixed into the clear and shot over everything so the orange also has a unique glow to it in some light. In some light the purple still looks black. I will be displaying this model at the upcoming TamiyaCon, not entering in the contest, just showing it... Any other questions? - Mark |
