3R Racing that runs the SPEED Worold Challenge GT series is based in Broomfield, CO http://www.3r-racing.com/
The Grand-Am series is running at Phoenix International Raceway Easter weekend, that's the biggest road race I know of in that area.

Albuquerque Road Race, May 16, 2004
The teaser question was to gain car count for the SWMS event May 16, 2004 at Sandia Motor Speedway's 1.65 mile 14 turn road course. From 35 mph to over 120, SWMS invites all interested parties to their events. All events include driver school classroom and on track instruction by qualified instructors. All SWMS events allow street car participation in lapping group with passing limited to front and back straights. Trading paint in all groups is grounds for being invited to play in someone else's sand box! i.e., we run safe yet fun events!
$500 door prize to 1 lucky full day entered driver. Lunch time lapping also done for $20 for 20 minutes on track behind a pace car at aggressive highway speeds. Available to first 40 entrants - 2 - 20 car groups max! Car show for muscle cars - any car invited! No fee! 2 free laps at lunch for show cars. Workers always invited - corners, tech, pit & grid, stewards, registration, etc. Spectators are also FREE. Grand marshall is retired F1 shoe from the 60's. Live radio remote from 11 to 1 sponsored by Rich Ford and their Saleens!

October 9-10, Albq. Road Race
We'll try to seek those illusive road race fans in NM or nearby. Last road race of the year happens the last week end of the Albuqueruqe International Balloon Fest. Happens at Sandia Motor Speedway's 14 turn 1.7 mile road course. Great aerial photos at ebay - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...320977266&rd=1.
Discount entry for out of state entrant - SAVE $50 off $225 entry. Workers always invited. Spectators will enjoy the road race action. Drivers challenge...anyone think they can match 1:25 for the 1.7 miles? There's a porche 914 that runs that time often. Pretty close to a track record. Full details at club web site - http://www.swms.org
