02 Grand Caravan --Problems @%$#^%$#

I fix one problem now have another.

Why do i have to let my 02 van warm up ( run a little). If I do not let it warm up it dies out when i put it in drive and try to go.

Try cleaning throttle body making sure that the Idle Air Control Valve port is good and clean. Make sure IAC is working properly.

Re: 02 Grand Caravan --Problems @%$#^%$#

As it's warming is the idle rpm above the normal 7-800 rpm? When you turn on the A/C does the idle rpm stabilize at the normal 7-800 rpm or slightly higher. When you decelerate coming off a highway does the rpm stabilize as normal? When you turn the steering wheel left and right does the rpm stabilize and not kill the engine? If you answered yes to all, your IAC valve is working.

One possiblity, the torque converter clutch solenoid or clutch itself. Could be as simple as spark plug gap adjustment.
