I tried very hard

Now I'm finishing slowly the fender and I will begin another interesting bike - Yamaha Vmax.

Amazing job, look great even without rear-fender.
I would blacken the little screws

Very nice! I really like that nearly black and white look of your pictures, there are only a few places where one can see, they are color shots!
So, you are going to build an Aoshima's V-Max? That is something I must follow very closely, it is also on my stash.

Re: Yamaha XV1600 - Tamiya 1/12

I too want to do a VMax bike, a really tuned one.

I had to take just another look at this build M-boy. It is very addictive, not only have you managed to get the dust off, there is not a glue dot visible. Practically impossible for me...

Third post in a row! Looking through my ref pics for my chopper build I found this bobber - there is something about it that reminds you about your bike isn't there?

Re: Yamaha XV1600 - Tamiya 1/12

Hi,

I love to see that beautiful bike. I love the work you done not only with the bike but also with the pictures.

One can see the cleanest modeler you are, very very impressed, because I imagine that is really difficult to keep clean that model.

Loving the black combination with the silver screws and details.

Any tip to keep the bike as clean as yours?

Cheers.
Roca.

You have inspired me to build a bobber! I got the Tamiya Virago XV1000 kit as a base.......gotta look better than the stock bike!

It isn't so hard. You just get the Camera with good macro lens like canon 60mm and take pictures with two light sources scattered or reflected.

Re: Yamaha XV1600 - Tamiya 1/12

The fender is a longer story.
Before I thought it trimmed and then it was too late. It turned out that it was a big mistake. I started to rebuild it and at this moment looks like that.

I was not quite happy with it but it is not bad.
I do not like as it looks like with the whole bike. Is too high.
That is much better

I have to change mount of fender and will be OK.
