Re: MY Eleanor 1967 Shelby Mustang WIP
Hello friends! Thanks for your nice words and interest in this project!
I scratchbuilt the exhaust system with styrene tubing. I built the mufflers using styrene and added soldering detail to them: I also built a subframe connector kit. Hereīs a test fit of all parts: Thatīs it for the moment! Next time, Iīll show you the interior details! |

This is just amazing. Details are mind blowing. If scale production ever rerereleases this kit (Hint Hint) I won't wait like I did the past two times. Instantly buy it and follow your thread!!! Inspirational stuff and I rarely say that.

Re: MY Eleanor 1967 Shelby Mustang WIP
After a very productive couple days, this is what I've done in the interior.
First, I detailed the gear shift lever (I will add the NOS button): The detail of the front shocks is very poor, so I am using aftermarket shocks from Aber: I painted the seats and detailed them with Bare Metal Chrome foil. I added the seatbelt hardware included in the transkit: I had a great time detailing the side panels! I detailed them with aluminum decals and bare metal foil. I added photoetched door handles, window cranks and air vents. I also added side lights: I installed the interior panels and details. You can see here the finished gear shift lever with NOS button and the NOS switch: The Dashboard is a work in progress..Here's what I've done so far with this area: This is a photo of how the model looks so far: Next time, I'll finish the dashboard and begin work on the body! Thanks for watching! |

Re: MY Eleanor 1967 Shelby Mustang WIP
Great progress and keen eye for detail.
I like the shifter and NOS switch. It's these things that add to a great model. Keep surprising us with this kind of updates... Mark |

Re: MY Eleanor 1967 Shelby Mustang WIP
I am puzzled why you put the sub-frame connector over the exhaust. I would have thought that would build in weakness where it bends to give room for the exhaust in a real car.
Your work though is blowing me away. |
