Re: 56XP GT pics!
I was looking for the appropriate thread to ask my question about the GT.
This thread is about the pics, but I hope it is fine anyway. Looking at the GT brochure, the engine capacity is 6064 cc, which is the capacity of the S70/2, while the F1 GT GTR features the destroked 5990 cc S70/3. I find it surprising because I would have guessed that they would use the 5990 cc on the road version too. Any reason not too? |

For the interior, the trim is different.

The other major component lacking on the F1 GTs that you will find in a longtail F1 GTR is the sequential shifter. Again, adapting that to the road car would have been a real challenge as the shaft that is used to actuate the gear changes on the GTR runs right back through where the passenger seat is located. >8^) ER |

Re: 56XP GT pics!
Thanks, that makes perfect sense for the emission regulation compliance.
About the sequential mechanism, I was not aware that it was so cumbersome. and then I found the illustration on this picture: http://www.pistonheads.com/pics/news...McLaren2-L.jpg |
