I voted for RB25 just because it's big, badass, and I have a soft spot for I6's. They got torque comin out the ass (ever seen a NEAR stock Jeep 4.0l pull a wheelie? It's wierd, but I've seen it. No shit). They're bulletproof. Nissan doesnt screw around, and I mean c'mon... even the name RB26DET invokes a boner on all hot blooded men.
 That said... I'll stick with an SR20DET for my project car... If I can ever save up for one. |

hey i'm a newb, what is the CA18 engine??? what car was that originally made for??? I know the KA and SR20's are the 240sx/silvia engine, then the RB25/26 are nissan skyline, but what about the CA18?

i voted for CA because i assumed it was the lightest engine... not sure of that though. Is it also aluminum block?

i'd have a KA bored 2.5L block and ported head machined out of some really light alloy (titanium? aluminum?), and build it with all new light, strong, high revving parts- slap on a custom turbonetics turbo and say hello to 600+hp
edit: actually i'd probly over bore it and then shorten the stroke, keeping it at 2.4L Last edited by spitz7985; 10-14-2003 at 02:48 PM. |

I would get the RB26DETT, because I already have an SR20DET. Who wouldn't want one if cost were no object. Make that a JGTC RB!!

If I had that much money I would definately get the RB26, and make it so the twin turbo fits...
Then again I would also replace all the body panels with aircraft aluminum. Actually, screw it, I would replace everything in the car with aircraft aluminum. Of course the interior would be made of some sort of extremely rare, expensive and durable sport-leather. I would also genetically engineer a wolf to be able to talk intelligently (with a british accent) and be my maid/butler. P.S. Quote:
