Try a phone book.
Depending on the complexity of what you want to do I would say: Get some basic tools and a factory service manual. A little bit of wrenching experience and the factory book will allow you to do just about anything. Unless you're planning on scratch building a turbo system or something.

"By Design"
go 10 west exit robertson (north out of exit) it's a block or 2 up on your right if you want to call them they're listed as by design on robertson. they're good people. good for getting parts. i think their labor is expensive though |

Re: good question
Try finding a shop in North Central Florida. According to these guys, the only way to make your car fast is to :Say in larry the cable guy accent: "Thro a Veeeee ate in dat sum bitch rite thur. Boy dat theeeng'll scat boy!"
My advice, rent tools and learn as you go. I did make a turbo kit from scratch and I live in the sticks. Reading is your friend

Re: good question
grand forks is that on the east side of nd? just to let you know Rapid City is hosting a Drift Day this summer...dont know if you wanna make the drive...but that would be pretty damn awesome. I suppose a 7 hour drive or so would be pretty crazy for a drift day though...i think its going to be a back to back drift/autocross weekend...drift on friday...autocross on sat...or something like that. BTW. yea i've only found one shop in town that'll do stuff on my car...it isnt a customizing shop though...the owners a really good friend of mine.
