Question 94 Roadmaster rear shocks fully extended?

I came out to the car the other day and my rear end was alot higher than the day before, like the rear shocks were raised/fully extended. How do I lower them back to where they were?

I'm sure someone will chime in, but I think it may be something with the height sensor

It sounds like the dump valve. If you are mechanically inclined you could probably take apart the compressor and clean the insides up. They tend to get gunked up and start malfunctioning. Be careful when you disassemble the area where the air line exits the compressor. Keep this area facing up and be ready for a spring to pop out when you dissasemble this part. Also there is a granular desicant encased inside and could spill out if you are not careful. You should also check the sensor. It is located on the passenger rear above the rear axle upper control arm. Make sure there is a small metal strut from the control arm to an arm on the sensor which senses the height the car is sitting measured between the axle and the frame. You will need the Factory service manual ( worth it's weight in gold) to be able to refer to and check all the above.
