Having problems with steering column on my 87. Any help?

Hey, everybody. I have a 1987 GMC S15 with a 2.8L Auto. I am having some problems with the steering. I have tilt steering. From the shifter to the wheel itself, it is extremely loose. I can wobble it around like crazy. My dad also has an 87 S15 that had the same problem. However, they fixed it right before he bought it. Anyone got any ideas?

Welcome to AF.
It will have to come apart and the bolts/screws inside tightened back up.
You will need a few tilt wheel/steering wheel pullers to get in apart.
Some auto places rent or loan the tools.
Good luck
