damn street racers
I have an idea why don't all of you dumbass street racers quit putting inocent people's lives in danger on our streets and highways, and take you sorry asses to a track, where the real cars and real drivers are. I am sick and tired of seeing some stupid high school kids, and adults who act like their still in high school, out tearing though traffic at 100 mph. I understand that your cars are pieces of shit and you would probably shit your pants at the sight of a real race car and a real race track. But please stop racing the soccer moms in their minivans, and come try your luck with some real automotive enthusiasts. E.T.'s don't lie! If you want to risk your own life go jump of a bridge i don't care. But don't be stupid and put some inocent families life at risk. "Fast And The Furious" was just a movie, and not a good movie at that. So for god sakes grow some balls and keep it on the track!!!!

Re: damn street racers
Wow, someone needs some monistat... That kind of came out of no where. Was there any one incident that set you off and made you decide to come and write this.
I mean you are right it is stupid to race through traffic, but do you think how you said it will stop these people?

Re: Re: damn street racers
I am just sick of these immature people giving us real racers bad names. They have seen fast and the furious one to many times, and they turn our streets into a war zone. I am very much into the import scene have been for awhile. I spend my spare time building my cars and I take them to the various tracks in my area to test them. I dive the speed limit and follow all the traffic laws. But becuase of all these jackass street racer wannabe's I get harrassed by the police, dirty looks from my nieghboors. All because some fucking dumbass with muffler, some clear tail lights and no driving skills thought that it would be cool to race on public roads and ends up killing some poor family. It is time that the racing community, the real racing community starts policing itself. Like by getting rid of a forum called street racing stories. Street racing is not cool it is fucking stupid and immature. If you have a death wish go shoot yourself in the head, but don't take an innocent driver with you!

street racing will never go away. and some people arent as lucky as u and i who hav3e tracks near by.
plus even if you do have a track it kinda sucks only being able to race everyother weekend to mabie get 3 runs in. but if you are gonna street race, be safe about it. make sure its a good area away from houses and cars. and when downshifting on the freeway make sure there is no one inhead of you.

Re: damn street racers
Street racing gives a rush to people because of those risks.. I'll only line up with somebody if it's dark and there is absolutely no traffic though, and don't usually go much past the speed limit. Like said above, who wants to take their Honda to the dragstrip for $10+ just for like 3 runs, or to an autocross where it costs $40+ for 5 runs, when you can easily go head to head with somebody for a few seconds on the street for free? I do agree about the fucktards swerving through traffic at 100mph though, and sometimes wish they'd run into a ditch before hurting somebody else.

Re: damn street racers
if people wanna go fast on the highway with cars around, thats there perogative. I know I can handle myself driving 100mph with other cars around. Id rather people be speeding than driving intoxicated, if your so mentally damaged by "street racing" speeders, you need to wake up and realize whats really causing accidents. You do sound like a woman coming on here and crying out. If they don't hit you, don't worry about them... AND YOUR NOT PAYING THEIR INSURANCE, so shut up!

Re: damn street racers
I feel bad for you. But, you shouldnt take your cousins death out on other people. I can guarentee im not going to lose control of my Prelude going 100mph on a sunny day, dry roads. I'm not an idiot and I know how to drive, and I for sure as hell didn't hit your cousin. So don't try telling me what to do like your my FATHER OR SOMETHING. There are too many people that speed for you to blame your cousins death on Speeders. Maybe you shouldnt race cars at the track, ever think you might lose control and hit another driver? GET A LIFE MAN, dont post bullshit on this forum.

Re: damn street racers
first off i will say i am anti street racing and find myself strongly on 97integrals's side.
partyhardryan16- ever stop to think that probably most every street racer out there thinks they "know how to drive" and all the rest of that? even if you do there are things that are out of your hands in almost every situation. food for thought. viper15c- that is a rather immature comment. it would seem 97integrals is the type that would get mad when you nearly run him off a 2 lane road because you are making a foolish pass at 100 mph while racing an escort gt. street racers in general- if the thought of accidentally killing someone is not enough, imagine how upset you would be if you got caught by the police while street racing and, GASP, lost your race car.

ever stop to think that even the best drivers in the world can still get into an accident, reason being you are not the only one on the road. you may be able to handle your car on a bright sunny day but what about the 60 year old woman that sees some sports car coming up FAST from behind. who knows what she may do... she may move out of your way, she may slam the brakes, she may accidently move into your way. anyway my point being if you are going to street race do it on empty roads then at least you are the only person in danger and you are not taking other peoples lives into your hands. weaving in and out of traffic is about one of the stupidest things to do, and I don't care how great a driver you are. it will catch up to you in the end one way or another. moral of the story kiddies... even if you think you are the best driver in the world other drivers definitely aren't and they are unpredictable in situations such as inclement weather and other cars on the road driving differently than themselves. One thing my father tought me when I first started driving years ago was that no matter how good of a driver you become you still cannot judge what the next driver will do or how they will react... therfore nobody is invinsible in a car.
