1997 ram1500 coolant leak help
I have a 97 ram with the 5.9L. I have a coolant leak from the back side of the engine dripping of the transmission bell housing. I did the upper end gasket kit, for the intake. After doing so its still leaking and I cant see from where. Its dripping from the trans bell housing. Im super frustrated and any and all help would be gratefull

Have you checked to see if you have a leaking hose going from the front of the engine back to the heater core in the firewall?

You need to go to a carwash with a high pressure hose. Clean it off good.
Lay on top of the engine with a flashlight and inspection mirror. You should be able to see it. Look along the back where the head gasket is. Also look over the intake for a leaking fitting of some kind. |
