95 cutlass -- How much time?

I have a 1995 Cutlass Supreme. I've put more work into the car than it's worth naturally!

I have 311,000 KM (194,375 Miles) on the car. How many more miles can I put on this engine?

I've had valve covers replaced, piston rings, engine bearings, serpintine belt, regular oil changes, coolant flushes, and a K&N filter put in.

When I accelerate hard, sometimes there's a whining sound. Other than that the car works great.

Thanks for your input!

Nobody can accurately predict how long an engine will last. If maintained, those engines can go many many miles. I wouldn't beat it too hard, take it easy. Of course, you didn't specify what type engine it is, so it's kind of tough to say.

I have a 95 Supreme V6 3.1 engine. It has about 240,000 miles on it and it still runs great! Hopefully it continues to do so

my 93 3.1L has 112K on it, and its running pretty good, its got some vacuum problems, leaks or just not working, but a little looking around will probably find and fix the problem.

Re: 95 cutlass -- How much time?

Thanks for the replies!

My engine is a 3100 series V6. I've had alot of maintenance done to the car for sure!

It has alot of power still, and passing the little Civics isn't a problem! The V-tech engine is no match for the cutty!

The only concern I heard of was my coolant lines, however the tranny fluid is full and a nice red color, so I figure I don't need to worry much about it.

I'm getting the AC fixed for only $200 which isn't bad, and the rest of the car seems to work great! But, I think I'll get a new battery soon!
