First car...Teg,Celica, or 240sx
I am looking to get a first car, and I want something reliable, low miles (70k), looks cool, and I am not into tuning it up, but might be in the future.
What would you recommend: 6 generation 94-99 Celica Integra or 240sx Thanks |

240 in my opinion, but i love rwd, but i tihnk it might be the easiest and best car for a first timer to have fun, even if you dont wanna do a swap for a silvia motor you can turbocharge the original motor to make some good numbers.

Only thing about the 240 is that I do not really like the looks.
For looks I like: 1 celica 2 teg 3 240sx |

depending on what year you could always put the s13 front end on it and make it look like a silvia, but its different for me because looks i dont give a shit about i tihnk its all about performance and how the vehicle drives, if anything, looks come later if at all.

Re: First car...Teg,Celica, or 240sx
hey, figure i'd help u out. i have a friend who drives a celica gt the year you like. its a nice looking car. he tried to tune it and even threw some boost on it. he ran for about a month with 8psi and it blew the motor. for looks if you keep it stock maybe lower it and keep it clean, is the way to go.
personally i love the 240sx, if you get a 95-96 they make alot of stuff for'm. the skyline kit is pretty pimp. and jdm aftermarkets are all over the place. i think it would last alot longer than the celica and integra. i'm not gonna say what i think about integras... its not pretty. lets just say i never really liked them. although the type r is respectible i would never buy one myself. hope i helped |

Eh, but I still don't really like how they look (not that sporty without a body kit).

i think you might be mixing sporty with ricy, sporty is fast and agile, ricy would be were the body kit comes into play....

Re: First car...Teg,Celica, or 240sx
I'd go with the s13(89-94) 240sx(se for the wheels) the old ones look cooler but still have the everlasting engine, plus the 240 handles the best. and when you get to tuning the engine will handle a turbo the best, of course in the end $$$ counts! but at least check out a pic and see what i mean

I found a car that might be good. A 1994 BMW 325i 4 door sedan. Black, automatic, leather, sunroof, 6 cd changer, radio, cassette, 87k miles. It is 5000$
Is this a good deal? From what I did on Kbb.com blue book is 6700. I kinda wish it was a coupe, but everything else seems perfect to me. |

Re: First car...Teg,Celica, or 240sx
well the 325i is a great car, you got a rwd 2.5 with a great set up under the hood. even the automatics are nice because for speed its faster that most, and its the luxury you get when owning a bmw. i used to have a 325is. i slapped an m3 kit on it and some 18s, cruised around for about a year with a smile on my face. my problem came when it was time to fix the simple things. i forgot it was german, mind you they know how to build a car better than anyone, but god forbit it should ever have something happen.
thats a good deal though. little low to think its perfect but i guess you'll find out. let me know what you decide on. looks like you found a good one. |

Re: First car...Teg,Celica, or 240sx
I passed it up without looking for it. Liek you said, the general maintenince is alittle much. I found this site that said all the stuff you need to check on/replace on an older bmw of that model/year and it was crazy.
I am going to try to buy a integra for my first car. I'm hoping for like a 95 GSR with low miles and alot of options, but I only have ~$5200. |
