Please help. VX Issue with GAS/PETROL on idle
Hello,
first time poster long time commodore owner. My current car is a 2000 VX. I had my pride and joy VX commodore fitted with Auto Gas (LPG) at Perth AutoGas two weeks ago. After I got it back i noticed some strange noise as if something was rubbing against the chasse (spelling?). This happened only on start-up when I drove the car forward. I took it back and they fixed it, only after I kept pushing the guy to do so because he kept saying ‘I don’t know what it is, and I might not be able to fix it’. Even though I don’t know anything about car mechanics I virtually had to hold his hand for him to find the issue. I then drove on the freeway and i saw the engin light flash for quickly. just that once an never came back. A few days later I took the car to my mechanic for a service and checkup. He is an ex-holden mechanic and a holden ‘specialist’. He has always been good to me and my baby. He changed hoses and leads and spark plugs. NOW this is where the issue is occurring… After this I drive my car at very very slow speed, my car ran really rough, as if my car is slightly misfiring every few seconds. Not on idle, just when letting it 'roll' in D(drive). Then, I was driving on GAS, turned a corner and the car engine shut off. I came to a standstill and restarted. Ever since then the car is running even rougher on Petrol & GAS. Now its happening if I am on idle too, in D and N and P. I took it to my mechanic today and he read the error code: Fault Code: P0200 FUEL INJECTOR CIRCUITS FAULTY My mechanic says it is very possible that it is a common error once GAS is fitted. But even when he cleared the memory and started the car on only petrol the code came back straight away. He advises me to take it back to Perth AutoGas. Can anyone please help? I know this autogas guy will try to shift the blame. If I can at tell him what the fault could be and if anyone has had simular issues please let me know! I belive the GAS install is Parnell |
