Re: spoon engines
where do you live? cuz where im from theres no way you can put a h22a in your car for under $3000 unless you steal the engine and put it in your self. how much are you looking to spend? there is alot you can do to that engine you have it all just depends on how much your looking to spend. from the sound of it you cant do an engine swap your self so if your looking to do then go shoping around find prices at diffrent places that do engine swaps. or you can do many mod to the engine you have now.

Re: spoon engines
You guys should list the Torque ratings on them - the S2000 looks good with it's horsepower rating, but it's 162 lb feet of torque don't look so appealing - my mom's buick Regal has more torque with fewer horses.
That's what I'm looking at when I look to get an engine swap for my car - which VTEC engine while stock generates the most torque. |

Re: spoon engines
probably the NSX engine? Or the 3.5 liter Odessey-Pilot....
A 4cilynder engine...the 2.4 from the accord CR-V A 4cyl with torque + hp the h22 euro spec 220 hp 2.2 liter...

Re: spoon engines
I want a DOHC VTEC I4, which rules out the NSX engine and it's lame 217 lb feet of torque (I think that's what the torque is rated at on it) which will allow me to have AC and power steering which also rules out any thing except for a B series engine for my car.

Re: spoon engines
VTEC: Variable Timing and Electronic Control. AKA Variable Valve Control.
Often confused with V-Tec/Vtech/V-tech

gee, i don't think i'm really stating the obvious here or *anything*... but some of the people in this thread need a good helping of 'ol Darwin's laws of evolution, hopefully coupled in some way with pavement, and a hilarious news article.
if you don't get this, it probably applies to you. edit: wait, i had an intelligent question also... I've seen that crate engines are coming out for hondas, i don't remember what block/head it was but it looked nice- is it worth it to spend the extra money on a brand-new engine for the "H" ride, or would it be better to rebuild a current engine? i want to build/own a very strong engine, i'm not sure if i want to do all-motor or FI but i'm open to suggestions, and i'm looking at options.
