98 zx2 hesitation coming off idle
98 zx2 hesitation coming off idle, it's worse when air conditioner is on, then it even backfires a little. Another way to discribe is chugging, surging. The idle is fine, smooth. Once I get going it runs great, accelerates good. It's just a second or two right off of idle. I tried Throttle position sensor, got new plugs, cleaned throttle body real good inside and out. Need your help, Thanks in advance.

Try cleaning the MAF with electrical spray or MAF cleaner.

Re: 98 zx2 hesitation coming off idle
Welcome To AF! The MAF (mass air flow) sensor is in the intake between the air filter and the throttle body. It measures how much air is going into the engine. You might want to change out the IAT (Intake air temperature) sensor, also. It is in the same place close to the MAF.
