no oil f head
I have just rebuilt a 1962 military f head, bored pistons crank bearing etc. I have had it running for about five minuets and no oil pressure or oil going to the rock shaft in the head. It has a new oil pump and I dropped the pan and checked the oil passages they seem ok. I have filled the pump with oil and reinstalled it. I dont dare run it any more because I dont want to ruin a $1000.00 motor job.

Re: no oil f head
I'll take a shot, I remember reading up on rebuilding a 4L and there was reference to making sure the main bearings or some other with holes in one side and it had to line up with the holes in the block, if not , oil may not circulate properly, don't remember if it was cam shaft or crank, like I said, taking a shot.
