It's called 'defective' engineering. GMs have been plagued with it since the early 80's.
You didn't hear about this crap happening on the 60's & 70's Buick models. My brother who owns several 60's & 70's Buick's has never had to take one apart to fix the gas gauge needle. Their TV ads about going to head2head at Edmunds is BS - they sight the COST of the car now, but not the Total Cost of Ownership. If a Buick LaCrosse cost $30K and a Toyota Avalon costs $35K - yes it's cheaper, and yes that's great, for a salesman to say it's cheaper, blah, blah, blah. But if the LaCrosse costs you $5K over the period of time you've owned it for parts and service beyond what is under warranty and the Avalon has cost you $0 then the TCO is $5K more then the Avalon. |

I Agree totaly (GM) Is screwing itself in to the ground i had written a longer post but it didn't make it to the forum i guess i own 2 buicks, a 88 Regal And a 2000 Park Ave
Not happy with my last 2 encounters at the dealer
