1-Series Diesel
I've started a business that focuses on Fuel Efficient Cars, and I thought a BMW 1-Series Diesel would be a great promotional vehicle. What are the chances of it making it's way to American shores?

Re: 1-Series Diesel
I'm with you! I don't want to wait years for maybe a hydrogen Bimmer. Please see my related post on page 2 of the "What's the point?" thread.

Re: 1-Series Diesel
diesels just aren't as popular in the US as they are overseas. i say the chances are really slim. the 1-series doesn't have enough popularity for it to be offered as a diesel. perhaps a 3-series diesel would be a good choice.
thoughts? |

Re: 1-Series Diesel
My sources tell me the MUCH more economical four-cylinder gas engine is undergoing EPA testing now and will be offered in the 1 Series next year.
If fuel prices stay up we may see the four-cylinder diesel as well. Be nice to get 30-40 mpg without going to a MINI. |
