Re: HELP !! battery runs down..
How old is the battery? It's possible the battery's bad.
Next, look for loads that could drain the battery. Any lights on? Glovebox? Trunk? Courtesy lights? This vintage Caddy had problems with the HVAC blower module going bad, keeping the fan on after shutdown. Is the HVAC fan on with the ignition off? Next, with an ammeter in series with the battery, start pulling fuses till the drain stops. That circuit will be the culprit.

IF the blower module is bad, they're not cheap. I suggest finding a salvage yard that may have a similar GM with that module. Not being familar with the '84 Caddy ( I know Buicks better), I'm assuming it uses a blower control module that GM used throughout the models and years up into the '90s. Where it's located on the '64 Eldo, I don't really know, bur it's usually in the A/C plenum in the engine bay.
As to measuring current draw, if you're unfamilar with this, I suggest finding an independent garage that will do this. The dealer will probably a lot higher in cost.
