Re: mysterious cautions...

we had another awesome caution at bristol

ill give them this, there was atleast a bumper bar... but it was no where even close to the racing surface. i dont see why they need to stop a perfectly good race to pick up something on the apron near the wall. then there was the awesome timing of JJ's caution when he blew the tire. the asshole wouldnt get off the track even though he could of multiple times. then they throw a caution after two laps, how retarded. they should have just black flagged him

its almost like nascar is trying to drive fans away to the IRL...

Re: mysterious cautions...

Do they even keep a black flag in the stand anymore?

Re: mysterious cautions...

well heres my opion of the caution for the bumper bar. it's bristol, the entire track is used. there a 160,001 people surrounding that track, say that bumper is hit by another driver when he ducks down to pit road, or when he avoids hitting a spinning car. he hits the bumper bar, and it flys up into one of the lower stands and hits someone. yea that would go over well in the media. so they low down the race so they can pick it up.
as a person that has had a bumper fly off the track and go thru my windshield when racing, i dnt mind them slowing down and picking that stuff up, it's a caution, another word is safety

that one certainly wasnt as bad as the phantom cautions. im just worked up because of the cautions they've thrown for no apparent reason.

Re: mysterious cautions...

Bumper bar? What about the splitter brace that was hanging off of Harvicks car for a bulk of the race a result of using the "bumper"?

Sure I hear you about safety for a obvious problem. Most tracks now it is almost impossible for any debris to make it off the track into the stands and even that is only the small(er) items that aren't teatherd to the chassis.

Re: mysterious cautions...

How about the imaginary debris on the caution where Juan Montoya just happened to be the lucky dog... that was beautiful. i have nothing against montoya, but nascar wants him to do well, the timing of that caution was just too perfect. shame on you nascar.

hes not 11th, hes in 16th. and im not saying hes not a good driver, i know he is. but nascar definatly helped him, everyone needs help sometimes. just like last year when jimmie johnson got a debris caution every time something happened to him. they want certain guys to do well because they are more popular. in montoyas case they want him to do well because he'll bring in the latino community. ive gone past the point of thinking their might be a conspiracy, im positive now.

Re: mysterious cautions...

well also think about it. nascar doesnt want the latino population because of montoya, busch was racing in mexico city 2yrs prior to juan coming into the sport. i believe the mexico city track was packed, if not sold out for the first 2 races. so there is already a strong following. just like they r thinking of going back accross the northern bordere to canada. mainly cause the closest race is new hampshire. i still think they need a track out in washington

Re: mysterious cautions...

true especially after the govenator and the rest of thte western states just signed some bill to lower factory emmisions by 25% by 2020. but maybe montana, look at the drive they would have to make to the nearest track, it would b cheaper to fly
