fuel pump noises
my friend has a 99 denali and he says that the fuel pump always makes a humming noise when the ignition on and it doesn't stop until the ignition is back off, does anybody have this same problem or know how to make it stop? Also what are the best kind of spark plugs should he run for performance and good gas mileage? thanks...

Re: fuel pump noises
My 2000 Yukon fuel pump has been making a lot of noise when the engine is running for a while now. It has 104,000 miles on it and I have ordered a replacement. My friends have had their pumps completely fail between 135,000 and 175,000 miles. Usually the noise is a sign that the pump is nearing the end of it's life.
How many miles does your freind have on his 99? |

Re: fuel pump noises
U Know People Alway Think That When A Pump Is Loud Its Going Bad Its The Other Way Around You Want Your Pump To Make Niose When It Doesnt Then You Have Problems.
To Extend The Pump Live Never Run Your Tank Below 1/8 Or 1/4 Of A Tank To Be Safe. These Pumps Depend On This Fuel To Keep Them Cool The Gas Also Keeps The Pump Lubracated. |
