SWMS Muscle Car Mania May 16, 2004, Albuquerque, NM
We almost guarantee better weather than our April 3-4 event...almost! Surely it won't rain 2.3 inches in one 24 hour period...again!
This is our Sandia Spring Fling - Muscle Mania. The question of the day is, will the California Gov./Terminator be present for Muscle Mania or will we have Cobras, Panteras, Vipers, Corvettes, Tigers, Cougars, Mustangs, GT350s, BMW V8s, twin turbo Porsches, etc? Remember, you heard that question here first! Really, all cars are welcome to this one day school, race car, and lapper event. Early registration cost is $125. Club web site with full details and contacts is in signature line below. No cost to spectate or work or display your Muscle Car in our Mania. Sure hope you dicide to drive! Workers, show cars, lunch time lappers, spectators, and sponsors are always invited and welcome. The 2 race chair are both V8 owners - GT 350, Tiger, Pantera. They suggest much fun to be had by all. SWMS events are well run, educational, and just about the best tension release. Some say, better than sex - this lasts much longer! Most groups will get about an hour of track time. Most drivers find they are exhausted after that hour of full flow adrenaline.

Car Show For ALL Cars
Although an event to honor the Muscle Cars of the 60's and 70's, ALL cars are welcome. Free entry for car show. Those folks also get 2 laps behind a pace car on track during lunch time. That will be one of the features of the LIVE radio remote from 11 to 1 PM.
If you want lunch, get to the track early to buy a ticket or BYOL - brown bag it. Cost is about $6. If you plan to do lunch time lapping, we will have no more than 40 drivers and cars in 2 groups of 20 each. First come, first served! Morning on track sessions are practice. Afternoon starts with qualifying and ends with races beginning at about 3 PM. Student and lapping groups need to review club rules at web site. Call with any questions. Register before the day to assure yourself of space available!!!
