What kind of performance exhaust is good for the RSX Type S
Someone please tell me what exhaust they think is good for the price.
I am looking for one that makes a not to loud exhaust with horsepower gains, and with a good low tone sound (low rumbling sound), with some good show quality looks. Thanks all. |

DC Sports
Try the DC Sports TCS(Twin Canister System) it was designed esp for the rsx... the dual canisters prevent it from being overwhelmingly loud yet you can hear it... you will be able to tell the hp gains and it has a low tone to it... plus i think it just looks really cool...:grey:

my friend has the tanabe racing medallion it has a nice low tone and it isnt too annoying at high rev. when i drove the rsx type-s with the tanabe, the car pulls noticable harder a little bit berfore the vtec hits and all hell breaks loose afterwards!

exhaust
I have a Thermal Cat-back and I can not complain. I really like it and I can stand it while driving long trips on the interstate.

No offense to anyone but do rsx's sound like typical, if you will, rice burners? Just curious...

its depends wut u call "rice-burners." i mean, yea a lot of exhausts don't sound good at all (evo is one of them YEUCK). but a lot do sound fine...tanabe r/m sounds very nice...an im thinkin of gettin the dc t/c for my teg. overall, jus depends if u like the import sound or the domestic sound...ur not goin to see flow master on many imports, jus like u wouldn't see a r/m on a mustang.

how much do u think a exhaust cost? By the way, i have seen alot of sellers on eBay tellinig us that it has a 5 hp gain ( no exhaust, you just put a hugh muffeler) many other people also tell me this as well....if u put exhaust it's 10-15 hp...muffler=5 hp and that adding muffler is not going to be bad for engine or the car itself...it is better if you just put a exhuast???

that's about right, but it's to the crank, not the wheels... I'm not sure about just a muffler... but I know for sure if you get a whole exhaust system you gain some HP.
I paid $1295 CDN (with tax) for my GReddy Evo Exhuast system
