1991 Dakota won't crank

1991 318 motor. I started this truck before Christmas, let it run half an hour, shut it down. Two months later tried again but battery dead. Charged battery but engine will not turn over. Only sound is a click of the starter relay. All lights work but dim when I turn the key to start.

try tapping the starter solenoid and seeing if that works. You might have a stuck solenoid also check the battery cable going to the starter, if it's hot when you try to start it, you have a lot of resistance & might need to replace that cable and clean up any corrosion that might be present.

Thanks! I ended up taking it to a mechanic who found a corroded wire behind the washer fluid reservoir. Who would even think to look there?
