which obd? cel and circle w/ a x issue!
01 Audi A4 Quattro Manual n/a
Hello does anybody know which obd this is? I breifly looked @ the plug and it didnt look like my 92 hook up, also while I started it up the check engine light was on with a logo which looked like a fan with a x through it. I am looking at buying this car for a killer price (being a flood car) I am just trying to guesstamate the repairs. With any car I owned before you were able to place a jumper in and count the cel flashes and it would tell you the prob, is there such thing in Audi? |

Anything automobile sold in the US after 96 required the OBDII system. I dont believe you could pull the codes by jumping the sockets, but if you could it would be pins 16 (power) and 4 (ground). OBDII is a universal system and the connecter can be found somewhere by the drivers feet (underdash) or sometimes in the center console. Acura's were weird like that putting the connector under the ashtray for example. You can take the car to any AutoZone or Advanced Auto or something of the sort and have the codes read for free!
Good Luck on your purchase
