Hello,
working on a 99 chevy s-10 blazer 4x4 engine code w with 80k replaced distributor cap and rotor, replaced spark plugs, plug wires. still have misfire on cyl. two and three. poppet injectors blasted out at gm dealer, . ran fine for three days, started misfiring again. fuel pressure 3-5 pounds low, swapped mass air flow sensors , no change. replaced injectors 2 and 3 , no change.tried different plug wires no change. miss is most noticable in park at light throttle. codes are po300 random misfire.?????? |

I've seen those crazy caps arc internally. Might try changing out the cap again. Take it back and get another.

I presume the poppet injectors you say gm dealer cleaned out and got good running for few days, are the fuel injectors ?
Even though you changed them, something seems interfering with light draw at low rpm. Could there be deposits in injector feed or gas lines ? Or is it carboning them up in cylinder by running to rich ? choke ?

Re: 99s-10 blazer 4.3w cyl 2and 3 misfire plague
I just posted in the other misfire post. Do youself a favor and get an AC/Delco distributor cap and rotor if you don't already have one. Don't use the aftermarket caps and rotors they have a tendency to cause p0300 general misfire codes. The misfires usually occur at cruising speed on a level highway. You state the code as p0300 but think the misfire is in cylinders 2 and 3? There would be codes p0302 and p0303 stored if that were the case. Try an AC/Delco cap and rotor directly from the dealer.
