Spark plugs stuck
Hello,
I have a 2007 Ford Fusion se 4cyl. I was going to change ignition coils plugs and valve cover gasket, but when I came to the point of removing the spark plugs it would turn not even a quarter of a inch then feel like it was getting tighter on all of them. I’ve changed many plugs before in other vehicles but this got me concerned so I stopped. What could be the cause? The motor wasn’t cold but wasn’t hot. Drove it 2 miles to where I was going to do this. So I would not think that would be the issue? Any help or advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you |

Re: Spark plugs stuck
A couple of miles could heat it up pretty good. I would attempt only on cool or cooler engine. A good ratchet and good socket should take them off, probably use some extra oomph. Make sure it is counterclockwise, I know you've removed others but hey we've all done something. I changed my 2010 3.0 plugs around 90k, took an extra tug to get them loose. Cold engine. Good luck. Remember a touch of anti-seize may help next time.
