RB20DETT Over Highflowed Single!

This is in AUS $

I was looking at purchasing a 300ZX Turbo (approx $500) and getting it highflowed with an rx7 compressor wheel and a t04 exhaust wheel by Bill Keen Of ATS is Adelaide ($1650).

Apparently this combo gets you around the 206rwkw mark with appropriate mods to an R32 Skyline

IF I purchase two smaller turbo's ($$ not known) and have bill make up a manifold for it ($1200??)
I would have to get the exhaust dump pipes made up ($$ not known)
And I could rig up the inlet part...

I figure I should be able to get all of this done for a very similiar price to the single turbo highflow setup.. Which comes to just over $2000...

Would I be wrong in thinking this?

Would the twin turbo set up be able to make as much RWKW as the single highflowed unit??

big tip stick with the high flow or better still look @ a 2535 gt series turbo or a 2835 hks one if you don't mind a bit of lag remember these are brand new to the right spec's first off no high flowing if you are going to spend that much on a turbo why not get a new one.
thats what I would do if I was looking at a budget similar to you and the turbo itself for the high flow will cost $350 I'm putting a stock vg 30 turbo on my car well its on and I haven't picked up the car it will be dynoed with in a week so you will know.
some one else I know has a high flowed t3/4 and is only making 165 @ the wheels r32 and Tryme has the same as you but has an rb25 and he is only making 206 kw @ 1 bar.
just some usless information for you
meggala

nb ask bill keeen if he will guarantee that you will make 206 kw at the wheels with stock computer and injectors.

Hey Meggala did you go for the Ceramic wheel or the steel wheel..

I think I heard some where that the VG30 Turbo was capable of around 190rwkw if setup right..

steel wheel so I can run 16 psi it should be fine for me with an apexi N1 exhaust front mount cooler and s-afc. my frien with the t3 t4 high flow just got an s-afc to lean out his mixtures and got 10kw @ the wheels

so how many rwkw are you aiming for?

Also if you don't mind me asking the s-afc is just for fuel is that right? and what $$ is it worth??

I'll be happy with 160 -170rwkw it coulds be more but I'm sceptical and hate being dissapointed and thats @ 14-16 psi.
the s-afc start @ about 450 s/hand up to 700-or more new they only do fuel but allow for othyer adjustments like injectors and for bovand a generally quite useful

Turbo Tune in Adelaide are capable of UNICHIPing..
I looked up a little on the UNICIP and apparently it adjusts both fuel and ignition..

I think it is basically the same setup (interceptor) as the s-afc but i'll have to go down there tomorrow to see what it really has to offer.

Depending on its pro's and cons compared to s-afc i think i will go one of these two...

I am thinking of hooking up the Autospeeds (Audi Type Boost/Wastegate Control) as through work i am able to get the good bits no worries.

I can't see the justification of spending $1650 on a highflow for maybe an extra 30-40rwkw with increased lag..

That depends on how yours turns out Meggala :alien:
