2000 Yukon power locks actuate randomly
The power locks started locking themselves randomly while I'm driving. First, the CARGO DOOR AJAR warning light comes on, then the locks click. They don't unlock, just lock. I've hit the unlock button, then they lock by themselves again. The dome light was also coming on, until I pressed the DOME LIGHT OVERRIDE button. Anyone have any insight?

Do you mean for the cargo doors? They seem to be ok. I can depress them and they come back out. I cleaned them as well.

Just because they come back out doesn't mean they are competing the circuit. Can be bad internally. Since the cargo door ajar light illuminates, that's where I would start.

Re: 2000 Yukon power locks actuate randomly
I looked at the door jamb switches again...one of the switches on the driver side cargo door was wonky. It wouldn't come all the way out when the door was open. It would catch when I pushed it in. I sprayed all the plungers with WD-40 and made sure they all operated smoothly. So far so good! Thanks again for the tip. I will see what happens in the next couple of days and report back.

Re: 2000 Yukon power locks actuate randomly
The power door locks lock and unlock themselves constantly while I'm driving. This happened originally at 12,000, stopped and now has started up again at 23,000. Dealer service says they can't figure out the problem.
