Re: Autolite 2100 question

What do you mean set the choke? Being '71 there should be a knob in the cabin to pull/push.

Re: Autolite 2100 question

i rebuilt the carb and i wanted to set the spring in the choke for the temp that it brings the choke on. i was driving it today and the car died. i think the chokes either not staying on long enough or is staying on to long. i need to know at what temp should it be at full choke.

Re: Autolite 2100 question

i found the paper work and got the choke set right. now it seems to be ok. the only thing is i still have the stalling out problem. i took the car for a drive the other day and if you take a strong right turn and then either keep your foot on the gas or push it when you come out of the turn it sounds like you just turned the key off and your flooring it but the engines still running but the rpms are dropping. it will do it any time even if you come to a stop and then turn it will do it. if you take off with out turning its very hard to get it to stall and any kind of left turn you make no matter how strong it is it never has a problem of stalling. any ideas on what it could be? i've tried running a thing of dry gas though it with no luck. the car did sit for about 1 year in a garage.

Re: Autolite 2100 question

Did you replace the accelerator pump(s)? Is it flooding out? Maybe you have a loose ground that is disconecting on a hard right hand turn? I would check all connection to make sure they are not failing.
