Re: Scion tC
I have a feeling that theyre the new civic/integra... basically wants to be upgraded...and the upgrades are going to start coming out of the wood work! 160hp isnt that bad, and youll be able to do alot to them, you can get alot of upgrade straight from the factory...intake, exhaust, suspension....well see i guess. what is your favorite color for the scion tc?

Re: Scion tC
i don't thinkthe tC will be the next civic/integra....doesn't play the part...and IMO doesn't looks like something "they" would buy

yea i've been asking around.. like all my friends.. and their friends.. most of them wont even consider it being that its a scion and their first 2 econocars were very unappealing to most people.. the other people say its not fast enough.. like they want the supercharger in already and they said they might consider it.. and the looks? well it looks ok.. but between a civic coupe and the tc i would probably pick the civic for looks.. still i've been seeing them around lately.. seems like they're selling well.. now.. i gotta wait.. ONE YEAR to get mines hah

Re: Scion tC
yea but dont u think its worth the wait? you get the car u want.. thats how scion works.. i mean for everyone else.. (for example) at a normal toyota dealer.. every month they have a meeting.. decide what the "people" or the "public" want.. then they get cars according to what went on in the meeting.. features are randomly thrown left and right with colors and options you dont need marking up a $16k car to about $18-19k... BUT for scion.. u "build a scion" u send it to the dealership.. with $ down.. then your scion gets delievered over there and u go grab it.. fun no? heh

All that i can say about the scion tc is that it is one of the best cars i have ever driven. I work at a toyota dealership as a lot attendant, and i have the option to drive the scion tc basically any time that i want to. I also have access to an 04 honda civic si and the tc is by far a better car, both in performance and maintenance. The 160 stock hp is amazing and the fact that i can cruise at 40 in second gear without even being close to redlining is amazing was well. Also, with the lowering kit and the body kit, spoiler, and the supercharger, the tc just becomes even better.

test drove a tc today
aight, so i had to drive over an hour to test drive one of these things, but it was d@m worth it! the shift pattern is short and tight, not much wind noise, close controls, roomy interior, and good looks to boot.
but i keep reading about this supercharger above, and a body kit, and a suspension kit. the dealer i went to didn't have them as options. did i miss something? not that i can afford the sc anyway, that's why of course i'm buying a scion, but just curious where this info is coming from. thanks |

Re: Scion tC
some areas don't have certain options...like here in NC u can't get the 19" rims or the TRD suspension for the xB...but in certain areas u can...but i think the tC should have all of the options available for it at the dealer b/c it doesn't have a lot of options...itz just the the dealer chooses to order...
i guess that's why itz better to order it instead of buying one from the lot so u can get what u want...

Re: Scion tC
ah! okay...so all these options aren't for the tc? cause i've seen the website and everything and i've been to the dealership and all of the options are listed with no supercharger option or some other things. am i correct in concluding that the tc doesn't have as many options? nor as good as options? will be getting one by sept...just want to know all i can.

Re: Scion tC
it doesn't have have the options the xA and xB have...but i have yet to see a full list of the options for the tC...all i see is the rims, exhaust, body kit and some other stuff...i'm going by what's on the net....and the dealer was limited on all the options available when i asked...so that means that their may be more options on the way...

Re: Scion tC
10-4. i guess i shouldn't be stressing over these options...cause i really can't afford them anyway. i just hate getting something that then a year later, the bigger/better model comes out. think i'll just stick with stock and hound aem and eibach for some good stuff later.

Re: Scion tC
tell you right now, it's a pretty car... however not as fast as you all are boasting it to be... I beat it in my Infiniti J30t.... it was a standard , no supercharger or anything, just a stock one, but even then i expected a bit more out of it, it is a really nice looking car though, i'll give it that, much better than the celica.
