'86 Dodge Ram 350b SE Royal - Air conditioning problem
'86 Dodge Ram 350b SE Royal
I live in Norway and for our final year in high-school we had a dodge van for a party-van. It's a norwegian tradition called "Russefeiring" which is a kind of celebrating that your finished with highschool. It lasts one month in may and everybody paints their cars in the school colours. Anyway... The airconditioning suddenly stopped working in the middle. It blows on the windows, in the back, and on the floor, but not on the dash. I think it may be a valve or something, but I don't know. thomas |

The air flow is regulated by a set of vacuum lines in the dash. If they break, crack, or leak, or just become disconnected, the direction of air flow will be hindered.
Also, much of the air direction is done by duct hoses in the dash. If those hoses become disconnected air will not go to the ducts it supposed to. In either case, your problem does not sound like it will be too difficult or expensive to repair. The fact that the air is working and blowing through the defogger and heat ducts is a good sign. Directing the air is cheaper to fix, than warm air. Frank
