Arrow ~ backyardinc's 1962 chevy bel air WIP~

.......... COMPLETED ...............

here is a project i started a few years back. I always had like 3 or 4 models to work on so getting one done was near impossible. I have some more time on me now, so hopefully i can get more progress done. here is a breakdown of what i have done to it back then.

BODY-
*shaved the side moldings as wheel as the body line above the molding
*shave the hood completely
*started to cut out trunk

CHASSIS-
*lowered front and rear suspension

INTERIOR-
*rear seats removed to make a custom audio box
*used a "lowrider" resin center console
*have like 3 "lowrider" resin tv's
*put some door panel details, custom nothing stock

TRUNK-
*put speaker box in trunk molded in with design of styrene i did

WHEELS-
*monster primo rims w/tires from hoppin' hydros

....here are some pics i took today..... first picture is of the last time i worked on it a few years ago

...as i keep working on it i will post up the progress.....

Lightbulb Re: ~ backyardinc's 1962 chevy bel air WIP~

...did lil bit of work, i painted the theme on the interior parts first so i know exactly what is getting a specific fuzzi fur color..... the whole interior and trunk are getting fuzzi fur...... maybe dash will stay a solid paint color.......

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

---** need opinion on detailing engine... i bought this engine to build, but i was thinking of leaving it all chrome.....im painting the car a red color just havent decided which, so leave engine chrome, or color theme it to body color?

You've done a great job with this build so far. I would leave the chrome finish on the engine. All chrome engines look a little toy like to me. How about using some metalizers on the engine and using your exterior on interior paint scheme on the lower portion of the engine and/or valve covers.
