1/25 1984 Corvette
Not sure if this falls under "muscle car" or street, but since my other vette is here, I'll post it here also...
Started a scale of the 1984 Corvette I used to own. So far this build has not went smoothly and everything's been a PITA... Kit is an MPC... Here's the actual car... Model... And finally, me about 11 years ago |

Thats another nice corvette you got going. MPC kits are never good for me, they are really poor quality.

Re: 1/25 1984 Corvette
Yes, It's the only '84 I could find, which I consider lucky since the engine in this year is this year only. The 82 Corvettes also used the Cross-Fire injection engine, but with a different air filter setup. One thing I dont like about the kit is that the front and rear windows are tinted. I'm fine with the rear window, since mine was also tinted, but the front should be clear. I'm just going to live with it though because I'd like to keep costs down. On the 1:1, I later lowered the suspension, added ZR-1 whels/tires, and modified the engine and transmission. I considered buying a ZR-1 kit for the parts, but just decided to build it stock. I may have to lower it though in order to get it to look right. The tires in the kit look way too small, so I am changing them out, especially since you get a good view of those meats when the hood is open

Re: 1/25 1984 Corvette
pretty cool build. i think MPC is like a 50/50 on details. its nice on some parts, but plain on others. keep up the great work. i think its gonna be a nice vette.
