There all great cars you mentioned but an audi tt is no match for a z06 viper or 911.

My order Viper
911 and z 06 very close i think id go with 911 though but prolly z06 cause its cheaper
and last audi

There all amazing cars.

I smoked a young guy in a Z06 last night. Wanted to play with the big dogs and got put to sleep. It was a 360, ViperGTS, and my SV. He came close to the 360, but I pulled him by about 30 yds on the big end. I would have given him a greater gap, but i backed off.

The SV. The viper gets took by about a car and half through mid-range. When speeds get higher, it falls back farther. I've seen 200 in the SV. Viper is usually about 3 cars back.

With the GTS the Z06 never really has a chance. It's close, but not a race that Z06 owners should go looking for. Now I've seen a Z06 take a '95 RT/10.

Wink

For anyone that is interested. There is a guy in my home town that bought George Brett's old '94 911. I took it fairly easily in the '99 SS. However, his car handles like a go-cart. I wouldn't try racin' him through the twisties. His 911 was nothing particularly special. Just gave me a story to brag about that sounded good.

I was able to get into a Viper GTS ACR with no problem, just put in one foot, then the but while the second foot gets in. Found visibility in either the Vette or Viper isn't so good, I want to see more of the road directly in front of me. Mid-engine fixes that

corvettes are the ONLY american sports cars I respect.

I'm a rotary guy

I wish we could just build some decent cars..... but thanks to bob lutz, we just might..... but the best thing he could do is get rid of pontiac... grand am? bonneville? grand prix? uh huh, right, they dont compete in any of those.

about the posts earlier i really wish chevy would put a big block in the upcoming c6. they already have a block to work with...the 8.1L monster. all they would have to do is get the guys to work on it a little bit and tune it up and i think it would be great. just my opinion.

Thats a good point. The engine the Viper's is derived from started with 300hp. So work a little magic, and you should have a 500hp vette with no problem. And lots of torque, too

I love the Z06, but I hate that the price tags are inflated. I don't want to hurt anybody's feelings or make anybody mad, but these cars do have high price tags. The 03 Mustang SVT Cobra and the 02 Z06 are not to unreasonable being the power you get from them. But when dodge was first designing the viper it was going to have a price tag of around 25,000 thousand dollars(which even in the 90s was not a bad price) but when they saw the demand for the car they limited production numbers on them and raised the price. I love the Viper and if I had the money I would get one. I am 18 and studying Computer Engineering at the University of South Carolina and if I get a good enough job I would like to purchase a viper. The new vette is an awesome vehicle. My dad ran a service portion of a performance shop in south carolina called ATS for awhile and I never got to see the numbers a stock Z06 dynoed but I did witness a supercharged Z06 some other cars on the dyno. From my experience at ATS watching the cars get dynoed the new SS's generally put 300-310 rear wheel horsepower, the 2000-2001 Mustang GT's put around 240 rear wheel horsepower, 2000-2000 Viper GTS's put about 405-420 rear wheel horsepower, a 2002 Z06 with a supercharger(I can't remember what psi it was running at) put 460 rear wheel horsepower, and recently they had a 2003 Cobra on the dyno. They tell me that bone stock the mustang put 385 horsepower to the ground, when they changed the exhaust like the owner wanted(just put some pipes on it and removed the silencer) the car dynoed 406 rear wheel horsepower and finally the owner upgraded the pulley on the supercharger and when it is running 14 psi it made about 450 rear wheel horsepower. And king of the dyno at ATS is a Twin Turbo Viper with Nitrous. The dyno can hold 1200 rear wheel horsepower and the Viper put more power then the dyno could read(I think it might have broke one of the gears that turns the dyno but I am not sure). I like the outlook for the future of domestic cars. I have heard that chevy might make a vette in the near future with 500 horsepower and the engine will not have a cam, the valves are electronically controlled. This would be very neat especially if could program the valves to different settings. It would be like changing the cam in the motor instantly. I would like to see the camless motor made. Now that I have added my .02 cents I will go. I am not set on any one manufacturing and I like any car that runs fast. I was just trying to add my experience with the cars to the conversation. And also about the interior of the vette, I could definately live with it. I hope I didn't make anybody mad.

No...A 2001 Z06 has 385hp and 385 torque. A 2002 Z06 has 405hp and 400 torque. Get it right.

CORRECTION!!!!!!

The 2002 Z06 has 405 HP... according to GM

The 2001 has 385 HP.

The Z06 offers greater value for your dollar. If money no object... I'd opt for a 2003 Twin Turbo Porsche!
