Re: 71 Fasty

It's part of a series of drawings I've been hired to do by a VW dealership.

The salesman go in the cars and they make shirts, and cups and commercials and all kinds of stuff. Its the number one VW dealership in America. Very progressive.

As a freelance artist you work for hire, so you draw what you're hired to draw...do your best and move on. It's a feast or famine lifestyle too so...if some guy orders 36 drawings...you do 36 drawings cause next year you might not get any. I'm very fortunate to get this opportunity. I remind myself of that when I get bored f the same old thing. I'm making good $$$ per drawing so, I'll try to find my growth in the small parts of the process...while my wallet fattens.

I do a non head version for the car owner if they want. I give them the choice. they usually choose to have their head driving their car.

You can see one of the pieces I did for them about 14 seconds in to this vid.

the wheels on this car are pretty rare VW wheels. They're called Riviera's. I'm usually a stock wheel kinda gu on my car but I kinda like these.

Re: 71 Fasty

yeah Mustang that's why I was so happy to do that Nomad drawing. These big head things are getting annoying even for me, but man...the client is payin top dollar so...

I use Photoshop for these. Look at a few previous threads and theres a link to a tutorial I did.

Re: 71 Fasty

Cool touch with the tribal-like flames--understand how these designs are starting to get under your skin, but the artwork still looks fresh with each new toon.
They have become a signature art style of your wonderous talents.
