Is it worth it?
How much of difference is there between Stick Shift and auto 4th Gen Maximas
Performance wise and Value Wise? I currently have a 95 Maxima SE fully loaded, with leather, sunroof, spoiler, and fogs. My cousin sold it to me for a base price of 6000 witch I think is very good but then he added the Brand new 17" ROH Reflex rims and Kumho Supra tires for $800 a Stillen Rear Stray bar for 150$, and 10 cd disk changer for 150. so the total came out to 7100$ with a tranny cooler and front clear corners for free with 123k miles and its in good condition, just a few dinks on it. I am currently looking for a 98 to 95 Stick shift maxima Since then I put on rear red clear tails, intake, fstb, Sytem, coming close to 900 dollars. it has a left ripped axel no biggy just makes a noise when I turn rarely. and about a 2 foot scratch on the 2 side door panels. I am thinking about selling it with the rims, cd changer, and kenwood face. for 7000 is this a good Dand How Rare are stick shift maximas? ?

ya might wanna look into gettin that scratch fixed, cuz unless some that can get that done for cheap of free, they prob gonna want a lil money off. you could prob find a stick if u jus looked around a lil, hell every now and then there are a few on ebay that are pretty good. that and www.autotrader.com www.cars.com and if u will go thru the members pages on the org there are a lot of ppl selling their max's. oh, and look on www.custommaxima.com under the for sale section, there are 2 max's on there, i dont really remember much about them but they are in good shape.

sitck shifts make up about 10% of all fourth gen Maxima's, but they are surprisingly easy to find. Most people want automatics, so sticks are pretty common.

They're about the same. Most people don't know about the significantly better performance of the 5-speed, so they don't bother to hike up the price. These people don't realize the potential of this car. The price usually is lower, however, new.

no, there weren't any real big changes, just subtle styling changes. i think the 97/99 look a little better, a bit more aggressive...but yeah, go for the 5 sp...you won't regret it

Its basicly preference... if you like a manual, you win out because they are probably going to be cheaper anyway and you have more control and more "sport" feeling. |

only thing i think is bad about a manual is that u will eventually get tired of it and it will jus be a hassel to drive

I don't think I'd ever get tired of driving a manual. I had one for two years ('90 Sentra)and drove it in all kinds of traffic (stop and go, continuous flow, etc.). Now I have an auto Max and wish I had a Manual. However, the VB mod will definitely take up the slack in the auto tranny.
